2025 NCOGGL/Ohio Cardinal Conference Preview

After a 12th place finish at The Elms Sectional last year, Wooster High School is looking to take a big step forward in 2025. They return some significant pieces and have some young players that will make their debut this season. Junior Haley Bode will team up with sophomores Ava Scott and Ella Scott to lead the Generals. Mapleton will return two young players, sophomores Payten Frye and Reagan Hickey and will attempt to build up their team in 2025.

Coach’s Comments- I’m excited to see my entire team from last year return with a couple new additions. Wooster Girls Golf worked hard throughout the season and made great improvements. Their dedication and commitment to excellence will take them far this season and in life.


2024 NCOGGL/Ohio Cardinal Conference Preview

The Wooster Generals and Mapleton Mounties will look to improve in the NCOGGL and OCC in 2024. Wooster will turn to returning sophomore Hailey Bode and have several incoming freshman who can make an impact while Mapleton will be replacing their entire starting lineup from 2023. They will both need to have a big season to keep up with perennial league powers Ashland and Lexington.

Wooster and Mapleton will both be losing key members of their team to graduation and will need to find a way to replace them. The Generals will be looking to senior Payton Haynes to lead the team while Mapleton has three incoming seniors who have a chance to make an impact on the team. Ashland and Lexington will probably be the two teams at the top of the OCC this season.
