The Independence Blue Devils have dominated the Chagrin Valley Conference the past several years and are bringing back another contending team in 2023. They will have to do it without Karl Schuld, the founder of the program and the only coach the team has ever known. Hawken will need to bounce back after losing two time state champion Ella Wong. The Edgewood Warriors are a team on the rise and could make an impact in the CVC this season. Chagrin Falls is another team that is always in contention and will look to make a splash after a solid 2022 season. Looking for Avery Vencill, Annie Johnston and Zoe Naus will move up to the top 3 spots and push each other to improve from where they left off last year and Emma Hart-Wood and Hannah Brunell to round out the team and contribute as well. Need to stay healthy and conditioned since our numbers are down.
