In the final year of the Crown Conference, Walsh Jesuit is the heavy favorite to take home another conference title. The Warriors are returning all their scoring players from last year and are very high on incoming freshman Yumi Kohara. Walsh Jesuit was disappointed in their Sectional finish last year and will look to make that up in 2023. Lake Catholic and Beaumont are both in positions to be better than last year. NDCL will look to rebuild under new head coach Tiger Alexander. Padua will look to replace most of their roster, as they had a multitude of seniors graduate last season.

Coach Comments- We lost our #1 player Lauren Olenik who graduated, but our new team captain Theresa Lazanich is working hard and is poised to be a premier player in the region this year! Sophomores Emma and Ella are working hard at their games and will also be players to watch this season. Seniors Kayla and Alex enter their third year on the team and are steadily improving golfers so we have a great core group to remain competitive this year. I am truly excited about the new crop of players listed as new varsity players, all of whom show tremendous potential and desire to become solid golfers!

Coach Comments- Our short-term goal this season is to create a positive and competitive environment for the student-athletes to compete in. Our long-term goal is to be competitive at the District and regional levels. That said, our student-athletes have been putting in work this off-season with their private instructors, gearing up for this upcoming season.

Last Year’s Results- 5th at Fox Den Sectional, Crown Conf Champs 5th straight year, Annie Stencel 3 time Crown Conf POY, Annie Cors 2 Time All Conference
Coach Comments- Our ladies are realizing that they belong in the District and State Tournaments and with the addition of Yumi Kohara (9) they may well do something about that! With Annie Stencel’s experience and Co-Captain Annie Cors there is a big upside to 2023.
