As is always the case, there is a wide range of talent among the independent schools in 2024. Hathaway Brown and St. Joseph Academy will be the two teams on top of this group but there are several schools that are on the rise. Seniors Dixon Hill from Hathaway Brown and Gianna Reginelli from St. Joseph are two of the top golfers in Northeast Ohio. Archbishop Hoban, under second year coach Katie Camp, will continue to build in the hopes of being a contender. Bristol is a small school to watch out for in Division 2 and may make a serious postseason run. Firestone, Laurel, and St. Vincent-St. Mary will all look to replace several significant pieces that are generational talents and will most likely be in rebuilding mode.

Coach’s Comments- With the return of 4 of our 5 golfers who went to Districts, our goal is to return. Gianna Reginelli 12 and Emerson Glending 11 both have solid games and the potential to go to States. Tess Gibel 11 and Ellen Mingus 11 will have even stronger games and the rest of the team all have a shot at varsity experience. They are working hard and have a true love for the game.
