2025 Metro Conference Preview

Another year of the Metro Athletic Conference saw another championship awarded to the Cloverleaf Colts. Their team had a great mixture of senior leadership with underclass talent. The 2025 iteration of the Colts will rely on both the talent and leadership of junior Quinn Malarkey, who has shown drastic improvement over both her years at Cloverleaf. Junior MacLaine Bell will take over the number two spot in the lineup and sophomore Cameron Todd is a player that could take a giant step forward this season. Until another team makes a big push, Cloverleaf, under new coach and former Hoover standout Grace May, will continue to be the favorites to win the MAC this season. An improved Streetsboro team will have the best chance to challenge the Colts. The Rockets will have a lot of experience as they will be led by three seniors, Sarah Czirok, Hazel Schoenherr, and Claire Campbell, along with junior Arianna Jacobs. Springfield is also right on the doorstep after taking a big step in 2024. Field, Norton, and Woodridge are still stabilizing their rosters and will be looking toward building up for the future.
